“Everything, but Country” was written in 2017 when I had the idea after hearing multiple people tell me their taste in music. I would ask, “What kind of music do you listen to?” They would respond, “Pretty much everything, but country music.” I thought it was funny how popular country music is, but how many people I know who don’t listen to the genre. The hidden gem in this song though is how some people perceive me, not being the typical country singer you would expect to see.
